                      Avoid these

                      Common mistakes

                      Relying on Wi-Fi security cameras

Wireless cameras are easily jammed by cheap deauthers and require battery recharges. Always pull wire if security is a priority.

                      Mounting cameras too high

Mounting cameras at the second-floor roof line captures tops of heads instead of faces. Keep them 8-10 feet high.

                      Using cheap non-outdoor rated cable

Standard indoor cables degrade under solar UV exposure and crack in winter. Always use UV-rated CMX outdoor cabling.

                      Questions

                      FAQ

Do PoE cameras require a monthly fee?

No, that is the beauty of PoE systems. Your NVR records everything locally, so you own your data and pay zero subscriptions.

                      What is PoE?

PoE (Power over Ethernet) allows one cable to transmit both network data and electrical power to the camera, reducing installation wires.

How many days of storage does a 2TB NVR hold?

For 4 cameras recording continuously at 4MP resolution, a 2TB drive holds approximately 7-10 days of continuous footage.
